It's that time a year where everyone starts to go on a lot of vacations. So today I am sharing my 5 tips for eating healthy on vacation.
Tip #1 Plan Ahead: Research healthy food options at your destination and make a list of the places you want to try. When eating out look for healthier options as grilled or baked instead of fried. Ask for veggies to be steamed.
Tip #2 Pack Snacks: Bring along some healthy snacks like Built Bars (code MIRANDA10, Chomp beef sticks, Quest protein chips, fair life protein shakes, nuts, fruit, carrots or celery sticks to munch on during the day.
Tip #3 Hydrate: Drink plenty of water to stay hydrated and to avoid drinking high calorie drinks. You can even bring water enhancers to help you drink enough water. I like the True Lemon flavors.
Tip #4 Balance your meals: Try and not eat out every meal. If you're staying in a Airbnb or somewhere with a kitchen cook breakfast and lunch and then eat out dinner. Try to keep it around 600 calories. Eating out can easily be over 1500 calories for a meal.
Tip #5 Don't deprive yourself: Remember that it is okay to indulge a little and everything in moderation is fine, but try not to go over board too much that you will be feeling sick the next day.
