This homemade braided bread recipe is so easy that anyone can make it. I use my kitchen aid to make it because I hate kneading dough by hand.

I love this braided bread recipe because you can eat it with soap or make a big sandwich with it for the entire family.

INGREDIENTS
1 1/4 cups warm water
3 Tbsp sugar
2 Tbsp butter
1 tsp salt
2 eggs, beaten
1/2 tbsp olive oil or non stick cooking spray
DIRECTIONS
In your kitchen aid mixture mix together warm water, yeast, and sugar. Let sit for about 5 minutes to activate.
Add melted butter, egg, salt, and about 3 cups of flour. Start mixing. Add rest of flour until a ball forms. Knead for 5-7 minutes in kitchen aid or by hand.
Remove dough and form into a ball. Add olive oil to bowl or non stick cooking spray. Add dough back into bowl and let rise for 1 hour.
Punch down dough and divided in half. Divide each half into three. Roll into 16 inch ropes. Braid dough and place on bake pan. Cover and let rise for 30-40 minutes.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Whisk other egg and brush loaves of bread.
Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
