This freezer lasagna meal is packed with protein and simple to make. I started making these a couple months ago to make dinner time a little easier with two little ones or for those nights that I don't want to cook or have too much going on.
INGREDIENTS
2 pounds ground turkey or beef
2 jars pasta sauce
3 cups reduced fat shredded mozzarella
1 cup shredded Parmesan cheese
1/2 tsp garlic powder
salt/pepper
DIRECTIONS
Preheat a large pan over medium heat. Add meat and brown until no longer pink in the middle, season with garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Once completely cooked add pasta sauce.
In a medium size bowl, combine ricotta, Parmesan cheese, and 1 cup of mozzarella cheese.
Spray each pan lightly with non stick cooking spray. Add a little pasta sauce to the bottom of the pan. Layer with two lasagna noodles. Spoon meat mixture on top of noodles. Top with two more lasagna noodles. Add ricotta mixture. Repeat all steps one more time ending with meat sauce on top. Then top with mozzarella cheese.
If you're cooking right away preheat oven to 350 degrees F and cook for 35-40 minutes.
To freeze lasagna. Cover with aluminum foil. Make sure to write date on meal as they're only good for 3 months. When you want to cook them take out of freezer the night before and place in fridge. Cook on 350 degrees F for 35-40 minutes.
Enjoy
