These pizza pin rolls are delicious, easy to make, and you can add all different toppings to make them fun for everyone.
I love making yummy lunches for my kids. Today I made them these pizza pin rolls with cheese and pepperoni. They both loved them. I also use my homemade pizza dough recipe because it take less than 10 minutes to make.
INGREDIENTS
1 cups warm water
1 teaspoon sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoons olive oil
Toppings
Shredded mozzarella cheese
Your choice of pizza toppings (such as pepperoni, mushrooms, or bell peppers)
DIRECTIONS
Dissolve yeast and sugar in warm water. Let it sit for 5-10 minutes until foamy.
Add salt, olive oil, and flour to your yeast mixture. Mix until the dough comes together.
Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface and knead for about 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1-2 hours, or until doubled in size.
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Punch down the risen dough. Roll out dough into a rectangle, about ½ inch thick.
Spread a layer of pizza sauce on your dough, leaving a small border around the edges.
Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese and your choice of toppings evenly over the sauce.
Starting from one of the long sides, tightly roll up the dough into a log. Use a sharp knife to slice the log into 1-1.5 inch thick slices.
Place the pizza pin rolls on the prepared baking sheet, leaving some space between them.
Bake for about 15-20 minutes, or until the rolls are golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Remove from the oven and allow the pizza pin rolls to cool slightly before serving. Enjoy!
